ETCO activates plan in response to Aman satellite failure

A response plan has been activated after the failure of the launch of Oman’s first satellite, confirmed Oman’s Emerging Technology Company (ETCO).

Abdulaziz Jaafar, Chief Executive Officer of ETCO, shared the following, “We have already activated our recovery plan and along with our partners, SatRev and TUATARA we are looking for the next launch opportunity to continue Aman’s mission.”

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology announced an upcoming scientific space rocket launch platform in Duqm as part of its space sector executive programme.

The project is a collaboration between the Ministry, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and National Space Services Company (NASCOM).

Muscat – Author Jokha al Harthi celebrated the release of the Italian translation of her award-winning novel Celestial Bodies at Bait al Zubair on Monday evening. The event, organised by the Italian Embassy and Bait al Zubair, included a talk between Jokha and the book’s translator Giacomo Longhi.
